Winter Morning at Lepchajagat

Morning arrived gently upon the mountains, as though the day itself had chosen to walk softly across the hills. A thin veil of mist lingered between the tall pines, and the cool air carried the quiet scent of damp earth and old bark. The forest stood still and thoughtful, its moss-covered trunks rising like silent keepers of forgotten time. Through this hushed landscape moved a single figure — a woman in red.
Her dress, deep and warm in color, flowed quietly with the breeze. Against the pale fog and muted greens of the forest, it glowed like a soft ember. She paused beside two weathered trees, resting her hand upon the rough bark as if greeting an old companion. The mountains had a strange power to slow the heart and quiet the mind, and in that moment she seemed to belong to the calm rhythm of the hills.
Not far away stood a wooden swing, its iron chains creaking faintly in the cold mountain air. It looked old, as though it had watched many seasons pass in silence. She walked toward it with unhurried steps, the ground beneath her scattered with dry grass and fallen needles. For a moment she turned her gaze toward the distant slopes where the mountains faded into mist. There was a quiet thoughtfulness in her eyes, as if the silence of the hills carried stories meant only for those who listened.
The red dress she wore held a quiet symbolism. Among the soft browns, greys, and fading greens of the mountainside, it stood as a gentle spark of warmth and life. It did not disturb the stillness of the forest; rather, it moved with it, like a small brushstroke of color across an old painting.
Further along the slope, faded prayer flags were tied between tall branches, fluttering slowly in the wind. Beneath them she paused once more, a coat resting lightly over her arm while the breeze lifted strands of her hair. The valley below felt distant, almost forgotten in the quiet embrace of the mountains. And so the woman in red continued her walk through the misty hillside, a calm presence of color and grace moving gently through the timeless silence of the hills.
